Pop Up Power Supplies® has three core outdoor power distribution units – Pop Up units, In-ground power units, and Power Bollards.
POP UP UNITS
Pop Up Units are a discreet, versatile and retractable power unit that provide electricity or data points for a range of outside spaces.
One of their key advantages over more traditional power sources such as power generators, is their versatility. They can be raised when you need to use them and when they aren’t needed you simply lower the unit back into the ground using a simple lever.
The pop up electric sockets provide either a 16A or 32A power supply in both single and three phase plug sockets, all with RCBO protection.
Our Pop Up Power units were installed at Chiswick House in London, part of The Chiswick House and Gardens Trust. It was important to the Chiswick House and Gardens Trust that the units would not have a permanent impact on the beautiful aesthetics of the gardens, while being able to provide a safe source of electricity for their outdoor events they hold throughout the year.
The tops of the lids for the Pop Up units, can be infilled, meaning can be seamlessly integrated into nearly all outdoor environments, even when the outside space is of a sensitive nature.
IN GROUND UNITS
Our In-ground units (IGU) provide a continuous source of outdoor power and can even be operated while unattended. Due to the flip lid nature of the units, the lids can be locked down with the cables connected to nearby stalls.
They provide a safe and secure power source for town centres or other urban areas. Because only the power cables protrude out of the unit, these can be managed easily for nearly pedestrians with cable guards. Compared with outdoor power generators where there is a risk of electrocution and a trip hazard for pedestrians.
There are six models to choose from in the In-Ground Units collection – Slim IGU, PUPS 03, PUPS Floorbox, PUPS02 4040, PUPS02 5050, and the PUPS02 7050.
POWER BOLLARDS
Our Power Bollards provide an outdoor power supply in elegant street furniture format. They are safe, secure and you have the ability to lock away the power sockets meaning they are a safe option for areas of high footfall and pedestrian access.

You are able to customise a power bollard from the following criteria:
Available in three standard diameters – 250mm, 325mm, and 500mm.
Available in four styles – parc paris top, domed top, sloping top, and button top.
A stainless steel bollard can provide between 220 and 400 volts and 125A of power. They are available with configurations to suit client’s needs, plus additional equipment is available.
OUTDOOR POWER DISTRIBUTION UNIT PROJECTS
COVENT GARDEN
Our Pop Up Power units were installed within the cobbled piazza area within Covent Garden. The area holds various events every week which is home to a wide variety (and number) of stalls.
When the power units are needed, they are raised out of the ground and provide a combination of 16A and 32A electric sockets, in single and three phase, with RCBO protection.
When the events finish and the piazza clears of stalls, the power units are simply lowered back into the ground where they have no impact on the historic aesthetics of the piazza area.
GALLIONS REACH SHOPPING PARK
Pop Up Power Supplies® worked closely with shopping centre owners and their chosen Contractors at Gallions Reach Shopping Park, London.
Here, a total of eight PUPS3030 Floorboxes were specified and installed around the perimeter of the site giving access to electricity from multiple points. The outdoor area within the shopping park is used for market stalls and small-scale entertainment events.
